In the resources page we have the Video Content section (it will grow!) with Youtube channels that have presentation, tips, workflows and similar things related to sports analytics.

Watching all is cumbersome or impossible. A nice skimming technique is to

1) watch the videos you really like.

2) skim the rest and extract the nuggets

3) optional order: skim all and detect which are worth watching completely!

How to do it ? I personally use www.downloadyoutubetranscripts.com.

It’s a tool that allows you to download all the channel’s transcripts in one go (or the ones you are interested in!). Then you can feed the transcripts to Chatgpt as files (or the LLM you prefer) and ask questions about it, including timestamps.

You can ask about summaries of a presentation, summary of a technical concept, best tips to get into the field, etc! Or find the videos that talk about what you are most interested.

Get creative! If you are in the analytics field, this should be your bread and butter. Also, it’s a good exercise to showcase AI usage!
